unable to watch or help How to make a video private RealFlight How-To Setting Up A DX8 - YouTube
ALWAYS make a backup of your current settings BEFORE you install any new models like this just to be safe. If you have something there, then you will need to change the file name to something different (just the first two numbers to change the location they go in, you don't have to change the name of the file from what I have unless you want to). PLEASE make sure you are not going to over write anything when uploading these files. As you saw in the video, P is for AirPlane and H is for Helicopter. If you have a DX8, then you have 30 spots to choose from so it shouldn't be an issue.īelow are the EXACT files that I use on this simulator.
You can fly with the heli settings, but when you are flying planes, the F-Mode switch will take the plane to full throttle and the throttle stick will not do anything. This is to get your switches working the way they are supposed to. The video of how to hook up the DX8 with your RealFlight simulator.ĭepending on what you are flying, you will have to make a model in your Tx for planes AND heli's. Keep up the good work you did in the past.Okay everyone, I told you I would get this done, and here it is.
by introducing a chooseable attribute to controller axis if they are commanding "angle" or "rate" and by "dividing" the flight modes, so they can by mapped to distinct switches).
It would be great if you could fix this in a future update (e.g. Because of this I am unable to map the flight modes of the 8X to my FSi6S.
Almost all other controllers on the market (including my FS-i6S) use 3-position switch that map to two buttons: SW1, no switch, SW2. This makes this setup unusable for training for my camera drones.Ģ) The flight modes (mapped to "Modes") of the 8X are commanded by a switch which, with the Interlink Elite, has 3 positions: 0%, 50%, 100%. Since compared to the Interlink Elite (which has a non-self-centring knob commanding gimbal-pitch angle) the FS-i6S dial is self-centring (commanding gimbal-pitch rate of change), the camera gimbal of the 8X in the sim will flip to neutral angle the moment I let the dial self-centre.
Unfortunately, I ran into some serious problems setting up my controllers, as an example the FS-i6S:ġ) I use the "8X Quad 1260" and have the left dial of my FS-i6S mapped to "Flaps", which is gimbal-pitch for drones. That was the main reason I was willing to spent a hefty amount (compared to what an update cost me in the past -) on RF 8. Having switched from R/C helicopters to camera & racing drones in the meantime, I was using a Spektrum DX6i (non-self-centring throttle for race drones) and a FlySky FS-i6S (self-centring throttle and DJI-style camera "dial" for camera drones) with other drone sims and was _very_ excited to see that RF 8 opens up to directly linking other controllers. I updated to every new version since then and never regretted the investment. I am a RealFlight user since version G4, which I bought in 2008 together with an Interlink Elite USB controller I am still using.
